For the past year I have been working with my mentor, Pavithra Rajeshwaran, a research engineer at the Health Care Engineering Systems Center at University of Illinois, to make a new cyber-physical CPR simulator that consists of a physical chest simulator and a virtual physiology engine to determine the efficacy of the CPR procedure. We decided to submit our poster for the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology conference. I was elated when my poster got accepted. On July 23rd, 2019, I presented my poster at the IEEE conference in Berlin. I enjoyed being able to discuss my work with scientists from all over the world with whom I shared similar interests. I was humbled when I received an offer from one of the professors who offered me a research position in his lab next year if I joined his college.
